How to read DEX Flow without mistaking churn for demand

DEX volume can look impressive while buys and sells cancel each other. Cexlens separates directional flow from two-way churn and shows the confirmed same-wallet wash floor, so the board ranks movement that actually changes inventory.

After this guide

You will be able to distinguish one-way demand or supply from balanced turnover and provable round trips.

Start with directional volume, not gross

Gross volume is buys plus sells. Directional volume is the absolute difference between them - the one-way portion that did not cancel. Two-way churn is twice the smaller side and is the ceiling of potentially wash-like activity, not proof of fraud. The board ranks by directional volume so a heavily churned token cannot win on gross alone.

  • Directional |buys - sells|, the uncancelled one-way flow.
  • Two-way churn Balanced turnover that may be genuine liquidity or wash-like.
  • Gross All buys plus sells before cancellation.

Read the wash range honestly

Confirmed wash is a floor: volume where the same resolved wallet bought and sold the token in a round trip. Two-way churn is a ceiling because balanced genuine trading also lives there. The highlighted wash zone on the flow bar visualizes the cancelling region, while the bright tip is the directional remainder. Coverage tells you how much wallet-attributed volume could be tested.

Check token identity and on-chain price

Badges distinguish tokenized stocks, pre-IPO assets, ETFs, listed majors and unlisted on-chain memes using contract and price-source evidence. For long-tail tokens without an exchange listing, the page derives an on-chain price from recent swaps. A label describes the instrument class or coverage, not its quality.

Move from asset to wallet to route

Open an asset to inspect pressure, swaps, flow quality and dominant wallets. Open a wallet to see whether it repeatedly buys, sells, routes or round-trips. Use the flow map when the counterparty path matters. The strongest DEX read combines directional pressure, broad wallet participation and a price response - not volume alone.

Frequently asked questions

Does high two-way churn prove wash trading?

No. It is the maximum cancelling region and can include genuine two-sided markets. Confirmed same-wallet round trips provide the provable floor.

Why is a token marked MEME?

In this product it means an on-chain-only token without a recognized market listing or RWA identity. It is a coverage classification, not an opinion about value.
