A 5.9-year-old wallet shuffles $17M USDC through a network of fresh, empty wallets
The single largest on-chain move in six hours routes stablecoins through a chain of previously-unused wallets, a pattern unlike normal exchange flow or user consolidation.
The sending wallet, 0x03ee…de26, holds a 5.9-year history with 47 distinct peers and a known link to Binance. Instead of a direct path to an exchange or a single destination, the $17.00M USDC exited into a sequence of fresh, empty wallets and then split across many addresses simultaneously.
This routing contrasts with the dominant market behavior right now: over the last 24 hours, USDC exchange flow shows a net inflow of more than $106M, suggesting most participants are moving dry powder onto venues.
The deliberate creation of new infrastructure to hold a large sum, separate from established destinations, is a structural outlier within that supply build-up.
Routing a large sum through a chain of fresh wallets may indicate an attempt to obscure future movement. Whether the funds ultimately sit idle, enter an exchange, bridge, or mixer from these new addresses will determine if this was privacy layering or preparation for deployment.
