$50.41M USDT exits a wallet with deep Binance, Bitfinex and Coinbase ties after 43 days of silence
The address 0xb99a…bcf5 sprang back to life today, moving the single largest tracked sum on-chain in the last six hours. It had been dormant since early March. Over its 336-day history this wallet has executed 5,585 transfers and shows direct counterparty links to Binance, Bitfinex and Coinbase, yet today’s funds did not touch any exchange, mixer or bridge within the traced depth.
The USDT landed in a destination still classified as self-custody or DeFi.
That matters because the broader stablecoin picture right now is one of net inflow to exchanges ($837.41M in versus $810.62M out over the last 24 hours across 50,897 transfers). Dry powder is arriving, not leaving.
A wallet with deep exchange pipes choosing to park $50M off-venue rather than send it straight to an order book is a notable divergence from that flow. It could signal a shift to on-chain yield or a reallocation within self-custody infrastructure.
