A 2-year-old wallet pulls $6.92M USDC from Coinbase and splits it across many addresses
The largest on-chain move right now is a stablecoin withdrawal, not a deposit, even as exchanges see heavy USDC inflows overall.
The trigger transaction sent $6.92M USDC from Coinbase to a wallet that first appeared 745 days ago and has transacted with 49 distinct peers, including OKX. Immediately after receiving the funds, the wallet split the USDC across many addresses.
This dispersion activity contrasts with the broader 24-hour USDC exchange flow, which saw $214.39M in net inflows across 7,052 transfers, indicating that while aggregate dry powder is building on venues, this particular wallet is moving cash off-venue and fragmenting it.
The wallet's age and peer network suggest an experienced entity, but the split into many addresses may be a pre-positioning step. The move raises the question of whether this liquidity will eventually return to exchanges or stay off-venue.
